Community Benefit Fund Awards for December 2022

UCT is delighted to announce the following projects have been successful in their bids for funding from the 2022 CBF. 

Parish Hub – Hardship fund  £2000

Ullapool & District Youth Group – Youth space rental   £1350

Lochbroom Community Council – Beach clean project £1000

Lochbroom Community Council – Quay Street Play Park £2365

Scoraig Community Centre – PA equipment £1000

Ullapool Golf Course – Junior golf equipment £345

Isle Martin Trust – Croft House drainage £1000

Welcome Ullapool – Wildflower garden £450

Kindercroft – Woodburner  £2000

Lochbroom Sailing Club – Junior sail equipment £ 797

Ullapool Sea Savers – accessible boat trips  £ 250

This round of funding was resourced from surplus income from the Broom Power Hydro scheme, plus donated dividends from shareholder.  A total of £12,557 was awarded. 

Our sincere thanks to the independent CBF panel of volunteers, whose work to award this funding is much appreciated. Panel members come from all parts of our community and meet once or twice a year to disburse available funds. You must be resident within the UCT remit area, which extends from Elphin in the North down to Gruinard in the south.
