Gill Wilson moved to Ullapool originally in the 1993 and raised her children here, but then moved south for several years, returning to live and work in the village in 2017. An RGN she worked on the district, for Marie Curie and was Matron of Mo Dhachaidh and she helped set up and run Ullapool Boatbuilders. Down South, she continued to work as a palliative nurse for Marie Curie and to manage a boatbuilding school with her husband. They then founded a charitable boatbuilding training college working with students of all ages and from all walks of life teaching practical skills and traditional crafts. Gill is a gardener and a self-professed bag lady.
