Website and Helpline
HTSI has launched a?new website and helpline?to support our local communties in dealing with COVID-19. The website?www.covidhelp4highland.org?is a new resource for community groups and charities in the Highlands. You can find the Community Response Register that we had on our own website, which can be viewed and added to. We are also registering volunteers on this site as well.
Over the next few days we will add more to the site including a whole host of toolkits and factsheets to support groups operating in the current situation. These, we hope, will help to ensure our communities are working in the safest mode possible. To further support the third sector we have also created a Helpline which will operate Tuesday ? Thursday (Inclusive) 10am ? 4pm and the number is 01349 808022.
FUNDING: Third Sector Resilience Fund
The Scottish Government has opened the Third Sector Resilience Fund (TSRF) a ?20m emergency fund for charities, community groups, social enterprises and voluntary organisations working in Scotland. The fund will support organisations that already deliver services and products but find themselves in financial difficulties directly as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The primary intention of the fund is to help third sector organisations to stabilise and manage cash flows over this difficult period. It will provide grants between ?5,000-?100,000. In addition there will be up to a further ?5m available in fully flexible, 0% interest loans starting at ?50,000. Social media
We are posting regularly on our Facebook page (https://business.facebook.com/HighlandTSI/), Twitter (@HighlandTSI) and our new facebook group: www.facebook.com/groups/821385825048384. Please join this group and get active! As information is changing so rapidly, we would appreciate members using this group to distribute information, to raise questions and engage with each other, as it is difficult for us to post everything we are being sent.
Thanks again for the support you are giving your local communities a the very difficult time!
The HTSI Team.
