The CBF panel are now reviewing your applications, they will meet later in June, to make the awards. Which will be announced on this page, Ullapool News and on social media and all applicants will be contacted by email. Thankyou

The CBF receives funds from Lochbroom Community Renewables, its shareholders and private donors. All funds received are ring fenced in a dedicated bank account. The CBF panel decide upon what awards are to be made and how many rounds of funding there will be each year. To date, all donated funds have been awarded as grants, with any admin. costs being funded separately. For a history of grants awarded see “past awards” at the bottom of this page.

The Community Benefit Fund has been established as a means of enabling LUCT to financially support community projects within its remit area. The fund came into existence through a partnership between Lochbroom Community Renewables (Broom Power) and LUCT. We are actively seeking further funding sources and welcome individual donations to the fund.

The funding is allocated by the Community Benefit Fund Panel which represents our community, LUCT, Loch Broom Community Renewables and the Community Council. Funding will be allocated on an ongoing basis in grants from £250 up to £4,000.  Non-constituted groups and/or individuals may apply if they are sponsored by another non-profit group who can receive the grant on their behalf all funding must have community benefit at its heart.

Queries and requests for printed application packs should be directed to:

Lochbroom & Ullapool Community Trust, The New Broom, 28 Argyle Street, Ullapool, IV26 2UB email gill@ullapoolcommunity.org

In 2025 we will again have two rounds of funding, this first one open in April/May and the second in late Autumn. Our funds fluctuate each year depending on the amounts we receive from Broom Power and from individual donations. If you would like to contribute to the fund please see donation form link at bottom of this page.

The work of the CBF panel is reliant on volunteers and LUCT would like to thank those individuals for their commitment and time in refining and delivering the fund.
